Write a story in six words--the ultimate way to put your brain to the test! I got this idea after browsing around the web one mindless evening. It's like @VeryShortStory on Twitter, only shorter! However, the idea of writing a tiny splash of fiction is much older than the Internet. Earnest Hemingway won a bet over it. You can read the Wikipedia article if you're curious.

I took some pictures and used them as prompts. I'm no Hemingway, but I had fun!

Already? I think things have finally slowed down…Let’s hope I didn’t just jinx myself by typing that! I’ve done a lot of knitting since the last time I posted an update. It was a bit crazy there for a while since I foolishly decided to knit a bunch of things in one month for gifts! Well, at least I know better now! I’ve been thinking about the creative process a lot lately, so I decided to do a seven part series on it--helpful ways you can tap into your inner creative genius to produce something awesome. Whether you're an artist, a writer, a graphic designer, or into arts and crafts, I hope you'll find this series useful. Why am I doing this all of a sudden? Let's just say that I recently had a run in with reality. I jumped headfirst into a tub of ice and got a painful reminder of how rough blindly leaping into unknown waters can be. Yes, I should have known better. I should have done my homework, and I shouldn't have laid a first draft bare like that. My feelings = ouch. Lesson learned.
