I had my doubts even though the trailers looked awesome. I refused to let myself get excited, and let me just say that I was blown away by how amazing this movie was! If you are a fan of Star Wars, you've either seen it or are waiting for reviews to come in because you don't want to be disappointed with yet another Hollywood "BAM, BLAM, BLING SEQUEL WITH SHINY THINGS so you better give us your money right now" sort of deal. If you fall into the latter category, go buy yourself some tickets right now. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is an exciting, action-adventure film that holds up to the original Star Wars trilogy. It takes place thirty years after Return of the Jedi . Animate Me!

Day 13 of my Post-A-Day challenge! I promise, I am not tired this time. Day 13: Post something you'd like to accomplish. I would like to eventually draw something that could be mistaken for a screenshot from a cartoon or anime. By could, I mean completely mistaken for a frame out of an obscure animation show.  This is the first time I've ever shared this not-so-secret-anymore  wish of mine with anyone! The only way I'm going to get there is to keep drawing. I haven't had much time for drawing lately, but I was inspired by something I saw today. Will my next picture be "the one," the image that makes people wonder if it is out of some sort of cartoon? I hope so because I would love to finally accomplish my not-so-secret-anymore goal. Oh, and Furby, Dumb Cat, and White House in Space have nothing to do with anything. I just felt like photoshopping that tonight.

Sketching Through Those Hot Summer Days

How is everyone’s summer so far? I feel like Summer is always the shortest season—probably because it’s my favorite. Time flies when you’re having fun! I’ve done a lot of drawing over the past few months. It’s crazy to look at art I’ve done just a few years ago  last year!?!?!? and see how different my style is now. And no, I didn't realize I did that Kathy drawing last year. I thought I did it in 2016! Mind blown. I don’t know what spurred the change. I just remember having a severe case of art block sometime last year. On a whim, I started sketching a photo as it appeared because I couldn’t think of anything to draw (I can’t remember which one, but it was probably High Castle related. I’d bet money on it, ha ha!). I enjoyed shading and sketching like that, so I kept doing it! It's honestly therapeutic, especially after a long day's work.
