Practice Friday!

Image
It looks like the three day weekend I just had got the better of me! I couldn't think of anything thrilling to write about, so here is a poem I came up with instead. [ Blank ] By M.L. Crabb I'm trying to think of something to write, Something nifty, witty, and pretty, But it's not coming out quite right. I'd like to be funny--jingly and jesterly. What better way to entice a reader than to write an exciting, enlightening feature poem! I fear my mind is far from any creative meter. Rabble, babble, and drabble is that that seeps from my brow. Writer's Block has consumed my poor little soul. Blog about iPads and sound like a robo call! Blog about my love for Coca-Cola and go viral. Blog about my favorite McDonald's fries... Veiled advertisements they may be, but I'm excited bout my new electronic baby. I love a good, cold Coca-Cola maybe, and McDonald's fries are the best, says this lady. Daggers in Red

This weekend's adventure was a success. I got to check out a store that features medieval clothing and weaponry. Their store front looks like a castle, and it is set up on a hill. All it needed was a mote, and my inner, day dreaming self would have been set.  Middle Earth, here I pretend! As luck would have it, they were having a huge sale in their warehouse, so we walked around back. I got a score of a deal on a beautiful dress. The camera and the picture on its package does not do it justice. The packaging makes it look like one of those cheap, I'm-going-to-snag-the-moment-you-sneeze affairs; we all know the type!  The dress only cost 30 dollars, and I later looked at their catalog to find that it is normally 90.  Remember to check out Friday's episode of The Case of the Alien Caper at @BurpleOfZoron on twitter!

Ye Olde Adventure

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there! Ye Olde Adventure to the Realm of Best Buy ...And so the Fellowship of the Tablet departed on their curious journey. They were tasked with acquiring the One iPad, sleek and fine. Their black steed raced towards the realm of which they assumed would hold the wonder and power that is the One iPad. Best Buy’s massive glass gates opened before them, permitting them entrance into its lord’s castle. They passed many sparkling objects of interest and want, but their goal was one: the iPad, sleek and fine. Weaving their way through the castle’s labyrinth, they came upon the tablet sitting on a white table. “Behold! The One iPad. It will soon be ours!” It glimmered with a glow that was unnatural, yet welcoming.  The castle’s torch lights flickered, and all went dark. A soft murmur filled the air as the castle’s blue cloaked stewards bustled about. “Ye must go to the castle’s gates, Citizens,” said a blue cloaked man with a red beard. The Fe

Missing Aliens and Busy Me

Sometimes life gets the best of you, and you become busier than a buzzing, bumbling bumble bee! I missed last week’s update. Mr. Burple Berry has all but disappeared. It took a stubborn reporter to track the little alien down. Scroll to the end of this post for details! Today’s blog is based on a prompt by @journalprompts . “Four objects that represent you.” Any writing utensil – I think this is the most obvious object. I love to draw, and I’m addicted to writing. When I can’t find a pen or pencil, a crayon will do! Computers – I’ve been spending more time on computers than I should since 1999! They are a huge part of my free time and an endless source of entertainment. You can’t beat an object that allows you to research, to write, to draw, and to play games.  Trees – I love the outdoors. I know this is cliché, but it’s the truth. Books – I can’t keep my nose out of them, and I’ll always be writing them. Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Purple Alien Goes Missing! Cli
