End of Month: July

It's more like the beginning of August now...I got a little sidetracked, so this is running 5 days late!

There isn't anything new going on, just the same old "I have too many ideas and not enough time!" going on.

Here's my art for July!


Rogue Race - I have to say that I am really proud of this one! I am extremely happy with out it turned out. I've been wanting to draw him in this pose for a long time, and I finally got around to it!



The Corps is Your Friend! - This is a fun idea I had since last summer. I finally got around to drawing it! I had a blast with this picture!


A good ol' fashion sketch on paper. It's always good to go back to pencil and paper every once in a while. This picture was done as practice on different poses....What better model to use than Alfred Bester... ;)


I, Londo - He is the second one on the left (the one with the crazy hair and outfit).

Already? I think things have finally slowed down…Let’s hope I didn’t just jinx myself by typing that! I’ve done a lot of knitting since the last time I posted an update. It was a bit crazy there for a while since I foolishly decided to knit a bunch of things in one month for gifts! Well, at least I know better now! I had a great four day vacation last weekend and was able to complete a digital drawing I’ve wanted to do since July. "Lisa Thompson" 800 x 800 px || 2.5 hours || digital Believe it or not, there is a huge story behind Lisa Thompson that has nothing to do with Babylon 5 aside from the fact that in my head she's a P7 telepath with the Psi Corps. Back in July, one of the summer hires sat near me, and we'd make up characters, giving them their own voices. Lisa was my favorite out of my bunch, so I had sketched her out with a ball point pen, Psi Corps badge and all, and pinned her up on one of my cubical walls. I figured it was high time she got digital treatm...

I’ve been thinking about the creative process a lot lately, so I decided to do a seven part series on it--helpful ways you can tap into your inner creative genius to produce something awesome. Whether you're an artist, a writer, a graphic designer, or into arts and crafts, I hope you'll find this series useful. Why am I doing this all of a sudden? Let's just say that I recently had a run in with reality. I jumped headfirst into a tub of ice and got a painful reminder of how rough blindly leaping into unknown waters can be. Yes, I should have known better. I should have done my homework, and I shouldn't have laid a first draft bare like that. My feelings = ouch. Lesson learned.
