Return to Tomorrow: November, Part I

With the upcoming holidays, I've been a very busy artist! This update is going to come in two parts (I will post Part II next weekend). November has always been a creative month for me. There is value in the rush to find (or in my case, create) the perfect gift!

On a sad note, my computer is starting to show its age. I've tried everything short of reformatting the hard drive and doing a complete reinstall of the OS. I can do simple functions, but using programs like photoshop is a nightmare! I haven't been able to do any digital pieces since then and have had to simplify my photo editing.

I hope to have this issue resolved sometime next month. In the meantime, I am happily working on some traditional art pieces and knitting projects.

Already? I think things have finally slowed down…Let’s hope I didn’t just jinx myself by typing that! I’ve done a lot of knitting since the last time I posted an update. It was a bit crazy there for a while since I foolishly decided to knit a bunch of things in one month for gifts! Well, at least I know better now! I had a great four day vacation last weekend and was able to complete a digital drawing I’ve wanted to do since July. I’ve been thinking about the creative process a lot lately, so I decided to do a seven part series on it--helpful ways you can tap into your inner creative genius to produce something awesome. Whether you're an artist, a writer, a graphic designer, or into arts and crafts, I hope you'll find this series useful. Why am I doing this all of a sudden? Let's just say that I recently had a run in with reality. I jumped headfirst into a tub of ice and got a painful reminder of how rough blindly leaping into unknown waters can be. Yes, I should have known better. I should have done my homework, and I shouldn't have laid a first draft bare like that. My feelings = ouch. Lesson learned.
