Day 13 of my Post-A-Day challenge! I promise, I am not tired this time.


Day 13: Post something you'd like to accomplish.

I would like to eventually draw something that could be mistaken for a screenshot from a cartoon or anime. By could, I mean completely mistaken for a frame out of an obscure animation show.  This is the first time I've ever shared this not-so-secret-anymore  wish of mine with anyone! The only way I'm going to get there is to keep drawing.

I haven't had much time for drawing lately, but I was inspired by something I saw today. Will my next picture be "the one," the image that makes people wonder if it is out of some sort of cartoon? I hope so because I would love to finally accomplish my not-so-secret-anymore goal.

Oh, and Furby, Dumb Cat, and White House in Space have nothing to do with anything. I just felt like photoshopping that tonight.

Already? I think things have finally slowed down…Let’s hope I didn’t just jinx myself by typing that! I’ve done a lot of knitting since the last time I posted an update. It was a bit crazy there for a while since I foolishly decided to knit a bunch of things in one month for gifts! Well, at least I know better now! I had a great four day vacation last weekend and was able to complete a digital drawing I’ve wanted to do since July. Back in July, one of the summer hires sat near me, and we'd make up characters, giving them their own voices. Lisa was my favorite out of my bunch, so I had sketched her out with a ball point pen, Psi Corps badge and all, and pinned her up on one of my cubical walls. 30 Miles to Awesomeville

Okay, so you've probably noticed that I've been about as active as a derelict starship stuck in the neutral zone as far as blog posts go. Yep. I moved. We are out of that tiny, one bedroom apartment and finally in our forever home. Mushy-feel-good stuff aside, It feels awesome to own our own place. You can imagine how that guzzled up my spare time, but it was worth it. My commute to work is much longer, but I see it as an unexpected glass that is half full. It is the perfect time to edit my stories. For whatever reason, riding the highway express bus puts me in the right mindset for it. Those of you who write know what a chore editing can be and how hard it is to force yourself to do it after you get home from work.
